Tata Motors Ambulance Magic Express launched to fight COVID

Tata Motors launches the Magic Express - a vital addition to India’s largest CV manufacturer’s healthcare mobility solution in a bid to widen its existing portfolio and support the country’s fight against the pandemic.

The Magic Express has been engineered to cater to the health and related medical services and abide by GOI’s AIS 125 norms for the ambulance category. The Tata Ambulance is spacious and can conveniently accommodate seven people that comprise the patient, five attendees, and a driver. With the introduction of Magic Express, Tata Motors is now the only CV manufacturer in India to provide a wide range of health mobility solutions.

The Tata Magic Express’s compact design helps the driver maneuver the vehicle on busy and crowded Indian roads, thereby enabling a swift and efficient patient movement. The Tata ambulance has been designed to provide high efficiency and superior comfort in multiple working conditions.

The specifications of the Tata Ambulance include the top-notch 80cc TCIC engine that generates a max. power output of 44 HP and a torque of 110 Nm. The Magic Express is built on the Magic platform, which has been highly successful and sought after its performance in the last-mile CV sector since its inception 13 years back. The rugged build of the vehicle offers a truckload of benefits to the end-users - minimal maintenance and supreme performance.

The Magic Express by Tata Motors is packed with essential instruments such as a medicine cabinet, doctor’s seat, auto-loading stretcher, fire-extinguisher, and a provision for an oxygen cylinder. The interiors are flame-resistant, with adequate lighting and an announcement system.

To adhere to the AIS 125 GOI’s norms, the Magic Express is incorporated with a beacon light and a siren. The ambulance also needs certified retro-reflective decals - similar to a sticker for outdoor use and can withstand harsh conditions. The driver and the patient compartments have a partition in between to prevent the risk of infection.

Tata Motors in the past has spearheaded the patient transportation solutions with the revolutionary Tata Winger that provides healthcare and life support across various levels - Basic, Advanced, and the 410/29 Ambulance.
