Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Sales show positive signs in December 2020

Tata Motors released its December 2020 sales report wherein Tata Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles achieved domestic sales of 8,377 up from 6,957 in Dec'19. Tata Intermediate and Light Commercial Vehicles witnessed a 4% rise in unit sales to 4,619 when compared to 4,290 in Dec'19. Tata Motors attributes the increased demand for road construction, mining and e- commerce as the leading factors for a positive recovery. 

Tata Cargo, Tata Pickup Trucks and Tata's Small Commercial Vehicles, saw a 5% decline to 13,177 compared to 16,929 last year same month, while Tata Passenger Carriers witnessed a major decline of  77% to 751 unit sales. While the exports of Tata Motors Commercial Units observed a 14% surge to 2,984. 

On a cumulative basis, Tata Motors domestic sales and exports fell over 4% to 32,869.
