Mahindra & Mahindra, rolled out the 15th lakh unit of its flagship product, the Mahindra Bolero Pickup from its Kandivali plant yesterday. Mahindra Pickups have been the leaders in the segment for over 2 decades now, despite the increasing number of competitors.

The company today has an entire array of products catering to different load & customer requirements. The biggest of them all, the recently introduced Maha Bolero Pickup offers a class-leading payload of 1700 Kg. The other variants of Mahindra Bolero Pickup (Extra Strong / Extra Long) offer payload nodes of 1500 Kg, 1300 Kg and 1250 Kg with different deck length options. Mahindra Pickups portfolio also includes Bolero Maxi Truck Plus, Bolero Camper (the lifestyle utility pickup with the crew cab) and the premium Imperio. These pickups are offered in multiple fuel options including diesel and CNG and different body configurations.

Competitors include Tata Pickups and Ashok Leyland Pickups mainly. While Tata Motors has upped the ante with a complete range of Tata Xenon Yodha, Yodha Eco, Yodha Plus, Yodha 4x4, and Yodha Crew Cab apart from its legacy models like Tata 207 RX and 207 EX. Ashok Leyland has also deployed a complete portfolio under Dost brand, like Dost Plus, Dost Strong, Dost Lite and Dost CNG.
