Tata 610 SK – Best LCV Tipper in the town

History of Tipper Trucks

The earliest of the Tipper Trucks came into existence in the late 19th century and have undergone pioneering transformations and overhauls over the years. They have been extensively used by mining, road and construction firms that has stayed true till this date. Today, they operate under the principles of hydraulics and assist human labor in mechanization of load movements and efficient execution of tasks. Also widely referred as dumpers, tipper trucks basically provide an efficient way of transferring large volumes of construction equipment, landscaping materials, machinery and more to and from domestic and commercial sites. They are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and capacities.

The Indian tipper manufacturing industry has undergone a tremendous change in the last three decades. The players in the unorganized sector mainly manufactured the tipper bodies in the 1970s’ and 1980s’, while the chassis to mount the tipper body were provided by Ashok Leyland and Tata Trucks stable (TELCO then). But on a whole, the quality standard was not up to the mark and customers were left with no other choice. The 1990s’ saw the entrance of foreign players who brought in hydraulic kits with telescopic cylinders.
