Tata Ultra 1518 Tata Ultra 1518 truck Tata Ultra 814 and Tata Ultra 1014 have been in the market for quite sometime now. The recent entry of Tata Ultra 1518 and Tata Ultra 1518T, offering 15.7 Ton and 16.2 Ton GVW with best in class payload, have been quite successful in the market. This tonnage point was missing in Tata Trucks portfolio for sometime and was the biggest reason behind huge success of Eicher Pro 1114, Eicher Pro 3015 and Eicher Pro 3016. It is to be noted that Eicher Pro 1114 is based on the Pro 1000 series range of value segment trucks and Pro 3015 as well as Pro 3016 is an offering from the Pro 3000 Series next gen range of Medium duty trucks. And the increasing traction of Tata Ultra 1518 is giving serious challenge to Eicher Pro 3015 / Eicher Pro 3016 sales numbers month on month. This also tells us a trend that the Indian Trucks industry operating in medium commercial vehicles segment (16 Ton GVW) is shifting  from the traditional 6 cylinder engine vehicles to the modern 4 cylinder engine vehicles that offer better mileage and lesser maintenance.
