2 New Volvo 9600 Buses Launched

Volvo Buses India has introduced 2 new bus platforms at the recently concluded Prawaas 3.0 Hyderabad. We would like to inform our readers that Prawaas is a transport industry event held every year for the past 3 years. Most of the bus and van manufacturers along with key passenger transporters participate in the event. 

Volvo 9600 platform variants

The 15 meter long coach is available in sleeper and seater configurations. Seating capacity of 15 meter long coach is 55 or it can be provide with 40 berths. Luggage space for sleeper variant is 15.1 cubic meter and sleeper variant is 9.2 cubic meter. The 13.5 meter long coach has a seating capacity of 47, luggage space available in this version is 13.6 cubic meter & 8.1 cubic meter. The all- new 13.5 m Volvo 9600 sleeper coach has 36 berths.

  1. Volvo 9600 15 meter bus 6x2

Seating capacity of the newly launched Volvo 15 meter bus is 55 seats. Alternatively this Volvo bus can also 40 sleeper berths. Luggage space for Volvo sleeper variant bus is 15.1 cubic meter and sleeper variant is 9.2 cubic meter.

  1. Volvo 9600 13.5 meter bus 4x2

The 13.5 meter long coach has a seating capacity of 47, luggage space available in this version is 13.6 cubic meter & 8.1 cubic meter. The all new 13.5 m Volvo 9600 sleeper coach has 36 berths.

 Volvo 9600 Bus Specifications

The company said that Volvo D (8-litre) engine produces a maximum torque of 1350 Nm @1200-1600 RPM and high horse a power of 350 HP@ 2200 RPM. This new Volvo bus built with the high quality material, its dimension stands at 15,000 mm length, 2600 mm width, and a height at 3800 mm seater.

This new Volvo bus platform includes the I-Shift automated manual transmission and also available with hydrodynamic retarder.

New Volvo 9600 bus features

It comes equipped with individual charging point, push back seats, reading lights, storage space for mobile phones on each seat. The bus also gets electronic breaking. The spacious berths in the sleeper coach ensure a comfortable travel experience. The body of Volvo 9600 is very specially designed and manufactured at the Volvo Bus India's world class .
