Tata Magic Express launched to take on Mahindra Supro Van
To counter the monopoly of Mahindra Supro van in the small commercial vehicles space in India, Tata Motors has launched the all new Tata Magic Express, with hard-top. This new Magic Express van is based on Tata Mega mini-truck platform and comes equipped with a 40 HP CRDi engine and 2 years / 72,000 Km warranty. It is essentially the recently launched Tata Magic Mantra but with a hard-top. Tata Magic Mantra did not gain much traction in the market owing to higher horse-powered CRDi engine, and not meeting the mileage expectations of upgraded Magic customers.
